In addition, it engages in the manufacture and sale of electronic devices; server semiconductor storage systems, as well as home appliances, including refrigerators, cooking appliances, washing machines, air conditioners, and vacuum cleaners; and toll processing of semiconductors and display panels. Further, the company provides medical equipment, connected car systems, and heating and cooling products; general logistics agency, financing, marketing, consulting, AI technology research, and cloud services; enterprise automation solutions and connected services; and digital advertising platforms. Additionally, it offers image sensing devices and mobile payment services; designs and develops software products; and develops and supplies semiconductor process defect and quality control software. The company has a strategic agreement with Telecom Italia S.p.A. to provide 5G services; International Business Machines Corporation to manufacture microprocessors; and Soitec S.A. to supply silicon-on-insulator wafers. Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. was founded in 1938 and is based in Suwon, South Korea.
