Chesnara plc is a holding company, which is engaged in the management of life and pension books of business in the United Kingdom and Western Europe. The Company's segments include CA, S&P, Movestic, The Waard Group and Other Group Activities. The CA segment is a part of it's the United Kingdom life insurance and pensions run-off portfolio and consists of the business of Countrywide Assured plc. CA is also responsible for conducting unit-linked and non-linked business, and contains the business of Protection Life (PL). The S&P segment is responsible for conducting both unit-linked and non-linked business, including a with-profits portfolio. The Movestic segment consists of the Company's Swedish life and pensions business. The Movestic segment is responsible for conducting both unit-linked and pensions and savings business and providing some life and health product offerings. The Waard Group segment represents its Dutch life and general insurance business.
